were born is to remain perpetually a child. For what is the worth of a human life unless it is woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history."

This section is dedicated to the genealogy of my ancestors from Mexico.
February 13, 2010
I am Chicana Rican and this section consists of the genealogy of my Mexican ancestors. You will see that it is not as expansive as my Puerto Rican ancestry. This is only because I have had the good fortune to come across MANY cousins researching their Puerto Rican roots. I hope that this section will be discovered by my Mexican cousins so that we may collaborate and eventually make this section an independent website. ¡Viva Mexico!
The photo on this page is of Guillermo Sosa Hernandez, born in Papantla, Veracruz, Mexico and Julia Mendoza Montiel, born in Hueypoxtla, Mexico, Mexico. The photo was taken c. 1950 at their home in Mexico City. This photo is among a collection of photos that Tia Tela was guardian of. It was also papi's favorite because his parents are smiling, together, in the same photo. Making this a very unique photo. Guillermo & Julia are are my paternal grandparents. If you are related to them, then this is also your genealogy.
