"Not to know what happened before we
were born is to remain perpetually a child. For what is the worth of a human life unless it is woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history."

    -Cicero (106-43 B.C.E.)

Welcome to our site

This site is dedicated to the genealogy of the families who immigrated to Puerto Rico during the 1800s, found one another, and formed our Familia.

October 13, 2009 Update

Genealogy is very hard, but when the old spirits want to be found, you will find them.

Dolores Antolin passed on the above quote in response to my findings this past week. I came across a vital record that identified the elusive Pedro Beauchamp's maternal surname as BENITES. 11 researchers and 5 years later, Pedro is not the Pedro we were hoping he was but we now know who is. The search takes on a new path as we try to identify his parents.
